The young boy, who was sent out to hawk pure water is unable to find his way back to his parents or guardians. He identified himself as Moses Onochie and speaks only pidgin English. Moses was brought to the office of Hon. Engr. Ofodeme Ikenna Sylvester, the Transition Chairman of Ekwusigo LGA secretariat at Ozubulu, Anambra State by DSP Abel Uchendu of Ozubulu Police Headquarters. 'We are not running any recruitment campaign online' - NECO issues scam alert

The  National Examinations Council (NECO)  has reacted to news making rounds concerning an online recruitment exercise credited to it. In a statement released by Azeez Sani, the Head Information Division,   'the attention of the National Examinations Council (NECO) has been drawn to an On­-line publication purporting that the Council is currently recruiting new members of staff'. 'The Council enjoins members of the public to disregard the publication, stating that since the present Registrar/Chief Executive assumed office on 1st of August, 2016 no single person has been employed'. 'The Council warns strongly that the publication is the imagination of fraudsters and states emphatically that it has not recruited, is not recruiting and has no immediate plan to recruit. Veteran news anchor, Jim Vance dies at 75 after long battle with cancer

Jim Vance, one of the first black major news anchors and Washington DC's longest serving local TV host has died at the age of 75 following a long battle with cancer. Station president and general manager, Jackie Bradford in a statement said, 'Jim Vance was not only the soul of NBC4 but of the entire Washington area. His smooth voice, brilliant mind and unforgettable laugh leaves each of us with a tremendous void'. Vance, who won more than a dozen Emmys, was one of the first African-American news anchors to host a show in a major news market in 1972. He became one of former president George H.W. Bush's fishing buddies and a confidante to the city's former mayor, Marion Barry, who died in 2014.

Today's featured article Bradley Wiggins at the 2012 Tour de France Bradley Wiggins The 2012 Tour de France was the 99th edition of the race, one of cycling's Grand Tours. The 21 race stages, including the prologue, covered 3,496.9 km (2,173 mi), from the Belgian city of Liège on 30 June to the Champs-Élysées in Paris on 22 July. Bradley Wiggins (pictured) from Team Sky won the overall general classification, becoming the first British rider to win the Tour. Wiggins's teammate Chris Froome placed second, and Vincenzo Nibali (Liquigas–Cannondale) was third. Wiggins maintained leadership of the race after stage seven, the first mountainous stage. The points classification was won by Nibali's teammate Peter Sagan, who won three stages, as did André Greipel of Lotto–Belisol and Team Sky rider Mark Cavendish. Team Europcar's Thomas Voeckler won the mountains classification. BMC Racing Team's Tejay van Garderen, in fifth place overall, won the young rider classification. The team classification was won by RadioShack–Nissan, and Chris Anker Sørensen (Saxo Bank–Tinkoff Bank) was given the award for the most combative rider.

War Against Drug: Indonesian President Orders Officers To Shoot & Kill Drug Traffickers

Indonesia's President Joko Widodo has instructed law enforcement officers to shoot and kill drug traffickers to deal with a narcotics emergency facing the country. "Be firm, especially to foreign drug dealers who enter the country and resist arrest. Shoot them because we indeed are in a narcotics emergency position now," Widodo said in a speech delivered at an event held by one of Indonesia's political parties late on Friday.
